Meliá Las Américas All Inclusive Golf & Bungalows

The Club House is located at Peñas de San Bernardino, where the French chemical magnate Irenee Dupont de Nemours built a private 180-hectare golf course in an exclusive area bordering one of the finest beaches in the world. There he built Xanadu, a lavish four-story vacation house, inspired by English poet Samuel Taylor's poem describing the construction of the marvellous castle of emperor Kublai Khan, the legendary warrior and conqueror of China. Xandu was the name of the old kingdom of the Tartars, which extended throughout western and central Asia and part of Russia. The Xanadu Manison Club House was designed and built by architects Cavarrocas and Govantes in July 1927. The house is now a magnificent restaurant and an attraction worth visiting. Xanadu Mansion is located directly on famous Varadero Beach, only steps away from the sea. It is considered a real architectural jewel with all the charm of an early 20th Century construction.
