Was at Melia Las Antillas the week of March 19-26 2013, Overall experience was good!!! Beach was amazing, food was great, rooms were nice but had a strong musky smell with the A/C, The best part of our trip was Mairelys!!!! The best of the best server at the Buffet :) We would wait outside for her to come get us if her section was full :)
We stayed three times in this wonderful place. It was so amazing, so that we come back in 1 1/2 weeks. I cant wait for it. :-)))
My husband and I stayed at your resort from Oct 1-8 2012, I have to say that this place is the best resort we have ever been too.. we just loved ever minute of our vacation there, First of all I just want to say that Yamila is amazing and made our morning special with her just greeting us with a smile and a hot cup of coffee and a nice glass of orange juice.... our room was always clean and fresh. we will be going back next year for 2 weeks and i hope to see Yamila again ..... thank you so much Melia Las Antillas for making our vacation an amazing one
La atención fue excelente... se esmeraron especialmente mientras transcurría Isaac. El personal de todo el hotel demostró gran amabilidad y destaco sobremanera el ballet y los encargados del entretenimiento. Fueron unos días hermosos a pesar de la tormenta!
Nosotros estuvimos en este hotel dos semanas. Nos gusto mucho. El servicio alli es maravilloso( muchas gracias a Marilyn and Tania), la piscina es bastante grande, la playa tambien muy buena. Os recomendamos ir en este hotel!!!)
My favorite is Sol Melia Rio Luna y Mares. It's in Guardalavaca the area Josh suseggted. You fly into Holguin and it's about an hour away by bus. I'm going back in December for my 5th visit at that resort. There's tons of stuff to do lots of it such as horseback riding at no extra cost. the staff are great, the beach fantastic and the food is also good, lots to satisfy everyone., there is also a kids club. Check the links below tripadvisor has lots of reviews. edit: some good last minute sites: Check a few out, my experience is some will have better prices than others.
My husband and I and my daughter and her friend traveled to cuba to your resort. We had an amazing time due to the staff. All the staff was friendly and helpful.Miladys, Yamila and Rigobuto were amazing friendly and always making sure we had what we needed at eatting time. Ullisue the gardener was so friendly and was helpful. The dancers were amazing. The 3 people that stood out were Joel, Nikki, and Maria..These 3 people were there for my daughter and her friend. They made it a trip to remember. MARIA is full of life with a beautiful smile always. She went beyond her job to make sure we were all having a good time. I consider her my friend and cause of the staff and especially Maria we will be back forsure. I have told all my family and friends in Canada about these people at the resort and have told them if they are planning to visit Cuba that this is the resort to go. Miss you Maria and I will be writting you soon
We stayed at this Hotel from May 6 to 13, 2012. The staff and service were superb, especially Ketel. Johhny Danny makes great omlettes. The weather was perfect and we look forward to returning next year.

Just returned after a week's stay and just loved everything. Our first visit to Cuba and we were very impressed. Grounds were beautiful and the gardiner did a splendid job. The staff were excellent - special thanks to Yamira and Ketel, William in Italian and bellhop on arrival. Food was very varied and if you couldn't find something to like then you are a very picky eater. Beach gorgeous, always lounges available and the sun, sun, sun, was wonderful after a long cold winter. We espepcially liked that there weere so many placed to sit and releax around the grounds. Keep up the good work. We'll be back.
Had a great time, wonderful staff - thanks Yamira, Willliam, Ketel, and bellhop. You are such friendly people. Loved eveerything - no complaints. Food was great and variety was such that if you couldn'[t find something to satisfy you then you must be a very picky eater. Beach wonderful and always lounges to be had. Gardens lovely and we liked that you could sit anywhere in the grounds - lots of places to relax. And thanks to Emelie who pours such great drinks. This was our first visit and we'll be back. Rooms were great and bed - king size was oh so great!! Keep up the good work.

For working conditions of the equipment, I have written bad not because of all of it, but because of the internet. We think that for a nice hotel like this one, a computer center that is efficient would be great when you need to keep in touch with your business or family even when on vacation. The one at the hotel is very bad. As for the employees'ability to resolve problems and for courtesy of the staff, I think for some it was more than ok and for others it was between good and bad. But staff does not have to be friend with everybody and some tourist are sometimes not very nice with the staff so maybe the staff. The staff are not slaves as some tourist may think... We have very much appreciated our stay at this hotel and would not hesite to go back if we went again to Varadero.
El hotel es muy lindo, las personas que trabajan ahí son muy amables y el buffet del Taino es variado y rico en sabores. La playa y la piscina lo mejor, lo pasamos muy bien con mi esposo, fue como una segunda luna de miel. La cantidad de vegetación en el hotel es impresionante y las personas de los bares de la piscina, playa y lobby son muy atentos. Es un gran hotel, esperamos volver algún día.

Nous séjournons à cet hôtel depuis maintenant 3 ans. Le site est beau, les chambres sont accueillantes et le service est toujours adéquat. Au buffet, il y a une serveuse qui se nomme Mayrelys Rodriguez Romero et si vous voulez passer de bons moments, c'est dans sa section qu'il faut aller. Elle est toujours sourainte et chaleureuse et elle fera tout pour rendre votre repas plus agréable. C'est une personne exceptionnelle.
total staff from dining rooms,bars entertainment,front desk etc. are fantastic especially Oswaldo,Misleady,Ariel,Roni and Mayline at the front desk, it makes you feel like you are with friends and family Cannot wait to return.
this was our first trip and it was even better than we expected. thank you very much for the fantastic service of all the staff and most of all for making us feel special and at ease. our only regret... that we didnot book for 2 weeks. we tried to prolong our stay but very difficult to do.
