Acabo de volver de unas hermosas vacaciones en Melia Las Dunas, simplempente para felicitar a todo el personal del hotel por una excelente atención, una onda increíble, las camareras, las chicas de limpieza muy amables, siempre con una sonrisa, excelentes!!! Y una menciòn especial para el equipo de entretenimiento: Leo y los demás chicos con sus clases de salsa, merengue y gym los mejores, lo máximo!!! Just came back from Melia Las Dunas an had my wedding there, they made sure that our day would be perfect , we would go back right away, Marie Elena our wedding coordinator was such an angel she made sure we were happy and that everything was perfect for that wonderful day , the all week was really nice, the weather was with us no rain just sunshine with 42 people with us we did not expect anything more, Thank you Mélia Las Dunas for the extraordinary service that you gave us, I would start all over again. Thank you].......There are so many good and positive things to say about our stay in this resort, that I don't know where to start... --- We had a large family gathering over there, from December 25 to January 01. Fourteen people in all, three whole families plus golden age (grand-)parents. --- Everything was impeccable. Literally : perfect. --- Breathtakingly beautiful beach (fine white sand, marked with an infinity of very little "dunes" - hence the name of the area - , created and reshaped with every footstep ), --- incredibly beautiful sea (clean, warm, inviting; presenting several shades of blue at any given time, gently caressed with the immaculate white froth of small, occasional waves), --- peaceful and sunny sky (with a soothing, distinctive blue, which seems to compete friendly with the moving colors and the eternity of the sea), --- totally excellent food (in terms of variety, abundance, taste and quality) , --- always delicious beverages (not only the alcoholic ones, but also all their "sin alcohol" versions, since we had a lot of children with us), --- numerous activities, artistic performances and spectacles, every day, --- a truly fantastic, exceptional New Year's banquet, programs, show, party and celebrations... --- A special mention has to be made for the service. --- Every member of the staff at this resort was just so incredibly nice. It was not in the case of one, two or three employees, but it was the same with any and all of them (and there are a lot, a lot of them around, all the time, everywhere, assigned to different tasks; the organization is really impressive ...) --- Warm, hospitable, tactful, polite, affable and amicable, always a bright and shiny smile on their face and in their eyes, always desirous to make an extra effort in order to provide you the best service possible and imaginable... --- It was really astonishing... Many of my above-stated remarks apply probably to the entirety of this wonderful country, which I discovered for the first time during this trip. --- Cuba is definitely a very special place. --- Its people have every right to be as proud, self-confident and dignified as they are - but at the same time, without never being arrogant or chauvinistic - . --- They have genuine class. --- In final analysis, it is not the sun, not the beach, the drinks, etc., which will certainly make us return to Cuba. --- It is the fantastic people who, through this resort, welcomed us with open arms and hearts, offered us their incomparable sense of respect, warmth and hospitality, who touched and moved us with their authenticity, who reminded us that true humanity cannot be defined, acquired nor quantified with materialistic considerations only. --- All this just makes it impossible not to go back there. We met and had our pic taken with resort manager Alberto Jerez.. This guy is by far one of the best for all round service. I've been to many resorts all over the Caribbean and you haven't had the best until you experienced this guys quality for service and complete entertainment. We were lucky as he started at this resort Dec 1st 2012.. Food, activities and fun is the real deal with this guy.. It?s funny as he was the manager in Caya Coco last year and he was appreciative that we decided to choose a Sol Melia Resort again.. We had the pleasure to meet with him on many different occasions throughout our stay and he was always making sure we were enjoying our stay..
Es un hermosisimo hotel y sus trabajadores son todo simpatia y atencion. La gente de los comedores, especialmente Luis Alberto del buffet, la chica que entrega los helados, los del bar del lobby, los jardineros, las chicas de limpieza,a todos ellos nos trataron como a amigos. Lo mejor de nuestra estadia en Cuba!!!!!!

fantastic holiday for my wife and I. First time visit to an all inclusive, and would go back for another. Very relaxing, just by the pool or at the beach (both are truly beautiful), or just walking the grounds of the resort(constantly maintained and very picturous). Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. Lots of walking which is a good thing because there is also lots of drinking and eating. Staff are very friendly and accomadating.They make it so easy to have the holiday that you wanted.
We got married here at your resort on Feb 4th, 2012. Maria Elena, the wedding coordinator did a very good job organizing everything and making sure our rooms were corrected prior to arrival. Basically we wanted to make sure our teenagers who were in their own room, that their room was next to ours, she made it happen, not only did she give us a suite(extra fee of course) but the suite was adjoining to our teens room. it was perfect! She and all the staff at this hotel were great! Keep up the great service at this resort. We we certainly recommend this place to others here Canada.
We just returned from LasDunas mid May and were completely satisfied,again.This was a return trip for us having been married there 2 yrs ago.The beach is unbelievable,pictures don't do it justice.The service was excellent,the food top notch.If you can't find something you like in the buffet you must be an incredibly picky eater.The servers,Raoul,Osvaldo and Yanella were to be commended for their excellent service and over the top dedication to making sure your meal was a memorable experience.Yanella especially considering she somehow came up with an impromptu birthday dinner when she found out it was my wifes birthday,complete with a cake and a gift! We recommend this resort to anyone we talk to thinking about travelling to Cuba and will be returning again.
My husband and I spent two weeks at the Melia Las Dunas in February and had an absolutely wonderful time. We could not have enjoyed it more - great service, beautiful resort, and great staff. We also met some really nice people and never lacked for something to do. Thank you, we hope to be back again some day.
Las Dunas is a fantastic resort with a beautiful beach and superb staff. Seven days of incredible weather always helps to add an additional boost to any comments or feelings about a resort. The resort is well-maintained and the rooms should meet all the requirements of vacationers from Canada. We stayed in Villa 37 - close to the pool, lobby and just a short walk from the beach. I cannot comment enough about the staff - friendly, helpful, efficient and very appreciative. We were welcomed guests wherever we were and staff went out of their way to ensure we were satisfied and our experience was wonderful. My wife and daughter enjoyed the nightly entertainment and activities. I looked forward to the nightly entertainment that was held at the courtyard just outside the lobby - wonderful music and ambience! I had no complaints about the food or beverages served. Especially enjoyed the Corona and calamari at the Beer Garden. I definitely will recommend Melia Las Dunas to my friends and colleagues in Nova Scotia and will return next year for hopefully another perfect stay. My husband and I was there in 2007. It is by far the BEST resort we have ever been to. This yr we encouraged our friends to have their wedding at this resort, because they want the best, of course. WE will be with a party of close to 30...two of us couples are staying on for an extra week. See you all in April 21.
My husband and I stayed here from feb 6-13/11 and loved every minute of it. would go back in a heart beat. It was our anniversary on the 7th and we could not get reservations for that day for the a la carte but the next night we went to the romantico and had flowers placed all over our table, got to sit next to the grand piano and was warmly greeted with a congratulations , also at the end of the meal we could have had dessert that was on the menu or a cake, we choose the dessert on the menu cause it sounded awesome and was. We had the best gardener ever, his name was Cristo and warmly greeted us everytime we passed by also I always had a flower for my hair, he even gave me a bouquet of flowers one morning as I was sitting on my deck, and the morning we left we got a knock on the door and there was our favorite person on the resort with but of course a couple of flowers. Cubans love tips and if you tip you get good service, the men always seem to be happy the women are a bit more reserved but if you engage in conversation with them you may find you have somethings in common and also they will warm up to you. Ask them if they have children usually brings a smile to their faces if they do. The beach is the most beautiful beach I have ever seen with huge grains of white sand. You will not go hungry, our favorites was omelettes, dounuts, coco ice cream and fried chicken from the beer garden. The rooms are clean and we had hot water everyday and shower pressure was decent all week. Take advantage of the lobby bar at night and the shows they are great and don't miss the Miss Las Dunas show, you will have a good laugh and participate you will have much more fun. All in all I would rate this resort a 5 star and can't wait to return and hopefully bring my kids and meet up with our friendly gardener Cristo.

I loved Melia las dunas!!! First of all i went with my dad and sister. the people are super friendly and big shout out to Enery!! Tips are genuinely appreciated by the staff but get you far. The beaches are wonderful as are the pools. You can get a catty service to pick you up to travel from restaurant to pool or home or to entertainement. The entertainement was good, tropical dances every night and a disney themed show as well. Cuban bands at night rocked also. The food was great, my favorites were Romantico and the intertanional buffet and the breakfast restaurant where they make you fresh omelettes tailored to your liking. Avoid the grill bar outside not too tasty. The hotel itself is like spanish colonial style and the reception lounge is very relaxiing with water close by. I went with air canada vacations and it was great. A big voyageur like bus, brought you from the airport to the resort and to the city pubelo for artisans souvenirs. i cant wait to go back!!! ps, helps to speak the language we were treated really well once they could communicate with us:)
Just returned from a Wonderful week in Las Dunas.The staff was unbelievable ,we received 5 Star treatment.Food GREAT you will not be hungry at Las Dunas,. You will eat and eat and eat l.Room very clean .Beach , white sand and turquise water. I could not have dreamed of better vacation. I RECOMMMEND THIS HOTEL .you will not be disappointed
Bonjour, pour mon premier voyage à Cuba ma mère et moi-même avons été très heureuse de notre choix. Nous recommandons Melia Las Dunas, style romain, bonne nouritture et personnel chaleureux ainsi qu'une belle plage.
Le site est super ! Le personnel est vraiment gentil et toujours souriant ! Bémol : hôtel loin de l'aéroport : 1h30 d'autobus. Nourriture excellente en général mais le buffet international manque de variété dans le menu.
We just got back from this wonderful resort, where my family and I spent a week there. We have enjoyed our stay at this extra hospitable resort. Though the food is not what we are accustomed to, the superb service just made it a pleasure to be there. We were greeted with smiles from the moment we got there. Special thanks to the resident manager Mr. Manolo who made sure our stay was enjoyable, as well as to Mykel from the sports center (my boys IDOL) who spent 3 days entertaining and playing with my 2 young boys. Thanks again for this unforgettable vacation.........We had a blast!!!
Stayed at this hotel Sept 11th To 18th. Excellent beach, very good food. great staff especially Claudia in the lobby bar area. Twenty four hour bars snacks . All in all a lovely vacation and we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing a great holiday in Cuba. Thanks to all the management and staff.for a wonderfull vacation.

We got married at Melia Las Dunas on Jan. 14/10. We were a group of 40 and everyone has enjoyed there stay enormously. The food was great, the grounds were neat and clean (our gardner, Hector, was so nice and interesting, he was very pround of his work. We love him very much). The day and night entertainment group was amazing. We made lots of new friends. (Simeon, Jessie and Mikeal were so nice, sweet and took pride in every guest. We enjoyed them very much and will definietly see them again next time we come to the hotel). Every time we will visit Cuba, it will definitly be at Melia Las Dunas. We were charmed and we will never forget this place. It had a very special place in our hearts!!! Muchas Gracias y hasta pronto!!
I really love the Melia Las Dunas and I would recommend it to everyone. The dancers of the night shows are extremely good and the Animators are very very nice people. I will go back there as soon as I can and I hope that nothing will change because I really enjoyed my stay there. Hmm ya saben que me lo pase asi super genial en el melia las dunas pero pues ademas queria saludar a todas las personas que me cayeron asi super wooow jajaja... De los bailarines y las bailarinas...Marta,Lysbeth,Lester,Dairo nunca cambien son icreibles y super bailarines nos vemos en un año los quieroooooo... Y de los de la animacion...Peque,Orozco,Michel,Ayandri y todos los demas (pero estos en especial) siguan como son porque son chistosisimos y super buena onda los adodooo!! Tambien saludos a todos los de los Bares (Jesus y Jeny!!) porque de verdad son un grupo poca madre :D Se me cuidan nos vemos en un año!! Vanesita la mexicana/alemana
La verdad es que pase unos dias increibles en el Melia Las Dunas, el grupo de animación es excelente.- Aprovecho para enviarles saludos a los chicos de Animación, en especial a Niumi, el Flaco y el chiquitin, son genios .- Asimismo un cordial saludo a Jaqueline que es una genia.- De igual modo no solo Monica Hurtado les envia los mejores deseos de progreso y prosperidad, sino mi hija Fedra Fontao y mi yerno el cubanisimo Dixan Morales Reyes.- Gracias por lo que me hicieron vivir MONICA HURTADO
Le seul petit probleme est que nous sommes allees pour un mariage nous somme allee 9 et pour les heures de souper nous etiez toujours oubliger de separer les groupe et etions oubliger de prendre 1 table de 6 et 1 de4 alors beaucoup de difficuler et comme cetais parfois le seul moment de la journee pour etre ensemble ...... a vrai dire ce netais pas agréable ( de coller des tables bien ce nest pas si difficile) cela ne doit pas arriver a chaque jour .aurais fallu que sois nous en laissions un au quebec ou y aller bcp bcp + . Un soir au steak house il on separer le groupe et le 1 groupe on fini beaucoup d avance sur nous et il nous a fallu chialer pour pouvoir recevoir la serveuse pour commender notre dessert nous avons decider de le manger dans la chambre .En bref le seul probleme est au niveau des restaurants quand nous sommes un groupe .Pour le reste nos vacances tout a ete super et je souhaite y retourne un jour dans votre etablissement .

This resort had it all. We have been to many places around the world, and this was, by far, the best all inclusive. The staff was amazing. I have not found nicer people anywhere else. We really enjoyed the mini-club. We were very hesitant to leave our kids with anyone else, but getting to know the ladies made it easy to have a romantic dinner by ourselves. The food was great, and we were treated so well. This is one resort we plan on returning to.
