For the past 13 years I have had the occasion to travel to Cuba several times a year - mostly on business but occasionally for pleasure. Without question, THE hotel to stay at in Varadero is The Melia Varadero.

The ambiance is superb. Towering atrium pool on the main floor, beautifully mature grounds. Wonderful restaurants and wonderful food (the International is my favourite!). But most of all, it is the exceptional service provided by the Melia's dedicated and accomplished staff that makes the real difference. Luis, Vladimir, Katina, Margarita, Semper, Americo, Sergio, and the fabulous staff from the front desk, animation, porters, administration, kitchen, room and behind-the-scenes provide an unfailingly excellent experience.

Particular thanks to Public Relations Manager Margarita, whom I have worked with for many, many years. Margarita goes out of her way ALWAYS to make sure every small detail is looked after to make myself and my groups feel welcome. Her personal warmth and high standards of professionalism are an absolutely integral part of the wonderful Melia experience.

The wedding cooridimator Dalia completely exceeded our expectations making our wedding day better than every dreaned of. She was courtious, professional, organized, sincere and very hard working. The Melia itself is beautiful and far better than expected. We booked 52 guests into the Melia for our wedding and I would say 42 of the 52 would definately return and I would say after seeing how breath taking our wedding was all of them would recommend the Melia for weddings. My husband and I would definately consider returning for our 1 year anniversery... It was perfect!!!!!!!!
