Famed Spanish singer and songwritter Dyango will offer three concerts at the elegant Meliá Cohiba, one of the most emblematic hotels in Havana, as part of his visit to Cuba to perform in the World Music Festival Varadero 2008.
His first appearance will be on June 12th, at a dinner-concert in the El Cetro Salon and during June 13th - 14th in the fabulous Habana Café bar- restaurant. A popular icon during the 1970s, Jose Gomez Romero Dyango made a successful career both in Spain and internationally as a singer of romantic ballads, with an extensive repertoire that includes scores of his own compositions, lyrical pieces, boleros, tangos and Mexican folk songs.
Since his debut in 1965, he has received 55 gold and 40 platinum records in Spain, Latin America and the United States.
