The Sol Rio de Luna y Mares Resort hotel complex received the Awards of Excellence 2009 presented by Airtours, a British tour operator and member of the Thomas Cook group. This recognition is the result of the high level of quality accorded by Airtours customers who stayed at theSol Rio de Luna y Mares Hotel , located in Playa Esmeralda, on the northern coast of Holguin province in the eastern region of the country, some 800 km al east of Havana. In the customer satisfaction surveys conducted by Airtours, clients emphasized the facilities, services as well as the rejuvenated image of the hotel, a Four- Star All Inclusive hotel with 464 rooms and highly recommended for families traveling with children.
