More international awards for Paradisus Rio de Oro

Paradisus Rio de Oro Hotel recently added two new prizes to its long list of international awards, the Travelers' Choice 2008 Award by Trip Advisor, the largest travel tips and information site on the Web. This Five- Star Ultra All- Inclusive property was selected among the 10 resorts most preferred by travelers in the category of Best All- Inclusive Hotels in the World and Most Romantic Hotels in Latin America and the Caribbean. Also in 2006, the Paradisus Rio de Oro was awarded the Travelers' Choice Prize in the category of Most Outstanding Hidden Jewels of the Caribbean.
The TripAdvisor awards represent the views of millions of travelers," affirmed Steve Kaufer, TripAdvisor CEO, when he officially announced that the hotel had won the prize.
TripAdvisor receives around 25 million visits each month expressing approximately 5 millions views and criticisms about almost 250 000 hotels and attractions throughout the world. As a result, the Travelers´ Choice award is one of the most coveted distinctions in the tourist industry. The winners of the Travelers' Choice awards are selected based on the TripAdvisor Popularity Index and scores given by traveler to certain features of the properties.
The TripAdvisor Popularity Index is an exclusive algorithm which measures the level of satisfaction of the traveler, based on a variety of sources such as criticism of TripAdvisor hotels, travel articles and opinions posted on the website. Designed for adults 18 years old or more, the Paradisus Rio de Oro Hotel (300 rooms) is located in Playa Esmeralda, on the northern coast of Holguin province.
