Paradisus Rio de Oro receives environmental management award
2009-06-09
Paradisus Rio de Oro Resort & Spa was recently accorded two prominent distinctions for its sound environmental management policy and for actively improving the ecological quality of the neighboring community.
The hotel was granted the Travelife Silver distinction by TUI UK & Ireland, whilst the Provincial Department of the Ministry of Science, Technology and the Environment (CITMA) in Holguin presented the property with the Provincial Award, in recognition of the outstanding work deployed by the hotel in the protection and conservation of the environment.
Research shows that environmental issues increasingly influence the decisions of British travelers and therefore the Travelife Silver distinction will enhance Paradisus Rio de Oro´s reputation , affirmed TUI UK & Ireland in the notification informing the hotel management of its decision.
Located in Playa Esmeralda, on the north-eastern coast of Holguin province and in Bahía del Naranjo Natural Park, the hotel's architectural design is in complete harmony with its exuberant surroundings.
Considered a true eco-resort due to its integration with the surrounding ecological system consisting of lush, brightly colorful vegetation and abundant fauna.
Paradisus Rio de Oro, is a 5-star, Ultra All-Inclusive hotel (300 rooms) conceived for adults over 18 years. Its Spa was also granted the environmental award several years ago for its superb integration with the environment.
