Meliá Cayo Santa Maria receives Environmental Recognition

The Ministry of Science, Technology and the Environment (CITMA) accorded the Meliá Cayo Santa Maria Hotel the Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Free Award for its commendable reduction in the use of substances responsible for the depletion of atmospheric ozone.
The recognition was presented in a ceremony held at the venue of the Ministry in Havana as part of the commemorative activities marking the World Day for Protection of the Ozone Layer.
The Diploma accrediting the institution's achievement was presented by José Antonio Diaz Duque, Vice-Minister of CITMA to Yuri Arjona, Head of the Quality and Customer Service Department of the hotel.
Meliá Cayo Santa Maria is located in a beautiful pristine key that bears the same name, on the north-eastern coast of Villa Clara province and part of the Buenavista Biosphere Reserve.
