The First Sol Meliá Cuba Golf Cup Tournament concluded with an invitation to players to take part in the second edition scheduled for October 22 -24, 2010.

A total of 99 golfers from 13 countries competed in the First Sol Meliá Cuba Golf Cup Tournament, which coincided with the celebrations marking the 10th anniversary of the Varadero Golf Club.
Panama, Italy, Bulgaria, Spain, Japan, Mexico, Cuba, France, Korea, Dominican Republic, Argentina, Canada and Colombia were the countries represented in the competition organized by the Meliá Las Americas Hotel and the Varadero Golf Club.
Canadian national Pierre Le Sieur won the best net male and closest to the pin prizes while Antonio Fernandez, from Argentina, received the best gross prize.
Among female players, Jacqueline Berger from Colombia won the best net award while Canadians Lynn Crete and Marlin Price received best net and closest to the pin prizes respectively.
