TUI INSIDE 2010 in Cuba

The 900 top TUI German travel agents are currently touring Cuba -since last Sunday until 25 May -as part of a familiarization and specialization program for promoting the destination and especially Sol Meliá hotels. The visit was organized as part of TUI INSIDE 2010, the most important annual training and incentive event for travel agents from this leading European wholesaler. Participants were selected in Germany during in a process that lasted more than six months. During their stay in Cuba, they will visit Cayo Santa Maria, Varadero and Havana and will be accommodated in the Meliá Las Dunas, Paradisus Varadero and Meliá Cohiba, all operated by Sol Meliá. The agenda includes visits and excursions to the leading attractions in these destinations, hotels and tourist facilities, including training and other activities so that participants can later inform their respective markets of their personal experiences while in Cuba. Consequently, their knowledge of Cuba's tourist potential will increase and allow for better marketing strategies in Germany where this tour operator has great influence. Cuba was the venue of TUI INSIDE 2002, attended by 600 travel agents, and of Kuba Erleben Tour in 2006, with around 120 participants, thus adding a new a new content for the certifications specializing in the Sol Meliá Cuba product.
