Program conditions
<ul><li>Only dogs are accepted as companion animals.</li><li>All breeds are welcome, with no weight restrictions.</li><li>Maximum of 2 pets per room (A supplement applies per pet, per night).</li><li>Pets are welcome in all hotel areas except: spa and sauna, swimming pools, gym, show cooking, buffet areas, and food preparation areas.</li><li>Applies to the following room types: Meliá Habana – Classic and Classic Ocean View rooms. Meliá Las Américas – Garden Suite The Level room.</li></ul>
Required documentation to travel to Cuba with your dog
<ul><li>Official health certificate issued by a veterinary clinic in the country of origin. It must show evidence of internal and external deworming.</li><li>Updated vaccination record (especially rabies and distemper).</li><li>Travel certificate or visa for the pet, requested at the Cuban Consulate abroad.</li><li>Documents must be issued no more than 10 days prior to travel.</li><li>Border inspection: Upon arrival, official veterinarians will check the animal’s health status and verify that it is free of fleas and ticks.</li><li>Cuban residents wishing to stay with their pet must meet the same sanitary requirements as pets entering the country: an updated vaccination record with the corresponding signatures and batch numbers, and evidence of internal and external deworming.</li></ul>
